Search for Meaning!

Search for Meaning!

Most of the people are trying to find out the meaning of life with family, friends, through business, entertainments, and other ways. But still, some people ask these questions, again and again, to search for meaning. What is the purpose of one’s life on earth and what are the ways and means to find out the real meaning of life? When we try to find out the meaning of a simple word, we search in the websites, dictionary and other sources. Do you think, we could find the meaning of our life from above tools which I have mentioned? We need to think and ask questions.   In order to get meaningful answers, we need to ask some important/reasonable questions to ourselves. What are two essential gifts given by God to everyone equally?  What do you think, is it money, land, family, friends or what else? God did not make any compromise in this case. It is one’s birth and death. Birth is to live and death is to recall, repent and feel proud of the good deeds you might have done in the life span and get ready for the next life cycle.

We came to know, what are the two precious gifts given by God and these gifts were given to everyone equally without any requests, recommendations, payoff or based on any caste, religion and colour. It is provided to each one of us equally to find the meaning. How to add meaning between one’s birth and death?  Before that let us have a clear understanding of what is life? According to my life is, how one travels between birth and death is called life. I think you all will agree with me.

We can find the real meaning of life by asking two questions if we do not ask those questions, it is impossible to add meaning to life. Those questions are:

1. Who am I?
                                    2. What is the purpose of my living?

I am reminded of a question asked by my eminent teacher, who are you? While I was studying in 9th standard this question was asked to me several times. The next two years I was never concerned about that question. When I was doing my first-year graduation the situation again called to ask the same question, who am I?  This was asked by my teacher. Today I stand the answer of question as a social worker. Now I am the way to find the purpose and meaning of my living by loving, caring, sharing, motivating, lifting up the wounded minds, being pillars to fallen hearts, etc. Friends, there are three categories of people who are travelling between birth and death. Now let you know where you belong to.

1.                    The first category of people never ask these questions and become a curse for others and become bear land to others, they won’t cultivate as well as never allow other to cultivate too and do not ever have a concern about others. They are always the most selfish and troublesome to others.

2.                  The second category people will ask those questions and when they are taken up by happy moods, worries, disappointments, they easily forget those valuable questions and move ahead as they wish. They will regret at the age of 60 about those questions, thinking not able to find the meaning for those questions.

3.                The third category people will mark those questions in their mind and move ahead to make a great difference to add meaning to their life and pull others along with them to show the meaning in their life. Few notable examples are Mother Teresa, Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam, Brand of Leadership former Indian captain M.S Dhoni, American author, Helen Adams Keller and many more.

It is time to put these questions before you to decide, which category you belong and where and how you want to travel to find the meaning for your life. Make difference in others and that will make you different from others.
